Miami-Dade Public Schools’ enrollment slump continues

Miami-Dade County Public Schools started the academic year with 327,023 students enrolled as of Sept. 11, a decrease of 7,377 students compared to October 2020 with 334,400 students, data shared with Miami Today by the Office of Communications and Community Involvement from the department reveals. 

When compared to the statistical highlights 2019-2020, Miami-Dade lost 20,046 students, as that school year accounted for 347,069 pupils; and shows a loss of 23,017 students up against 2018-2019, when the statistics indicate enrollment of 350,040.
