Miami-Dade on track for transit funding formula that spotlights rail

In two years, Miami-Dade could have a new formula for funding county wide mobility that focuses significantly more on multimodal transit, including rail expansion.
County commissioners last week OK’s a $1.1 million study by consultant Renaissance Planning Group, an Orlando-based urban firm whose managing principal, Ysela Llort, previously served as assistant county manager and transit director for Miami-Dade.
