Miami-Dade looking to extend taxis’ 10-year age limit to 15 years

In what is something of a tradition, Miami-Dade commissioners are again considering keeping older taxicabs on county streets longer.
Commissioners last week accepted on first reading an ordinance change providing for a two-year pilot program to allow vehicles 15 model years of age or less to continue operating as taxis – a 50% increase to the county’s current 10-year age limit…To read the full story click here
