Miami-Dade funds Jackson urgent care hub in Coral Gables

Jackson Health will have an extra $1 million to build out two adjacent Coral Gables properties into an urgent care and outpatient facility, as Miami-Dade commissioners last week approved an earmark on a 16-year-old bond issue.
While the move received sweeping support across the county dais Oct. 22, one commissioner complained that the original intent of the bond projects – to equally serve all the county’s 13 districts equally – is still unfulfilled.
