Miami-Dade found well positioned for a genetics research hub

Miami-Dade County is well-positioned for growth in both human and agricultural genetics, a long-anticipated report from the office of Mayor Carlos Giménez to county commissioners says.

The report cites current investment and practice in genetics within the county and concludes that “a more targeted campaign could be developed to present the opportunities available to the prospective operators and developers, through the Beacon Council, to entice the further development of this industry in Miami-Dade County.”…To read the full story click here
