Miami-Dade film incentives reel in work

Two major films have recently taken advantage of the Miami-Dade TV, Film and Entertainment Production Incentives Program, which offers tax rebates to productions that are shot here if certain requirements are met.
“I Mordecai,” with Judd Hirsch and Carol Kane, spent $1.2 million in Miami during filming and so is entitled to a rebate. “It’s a local story that was also shot here,” said Sandy Lighterman, county film and entertainment commissioner. A recommendation committee agreed.
