Miami-Dade files to enter expressways court battle

“For the second time, MDX seeks to invalidate the 2019 statute that created GMX, and abolished and took over the assets of MDX,” reads the Greater Miami Expressway Agency’s response in opposition to the lawsuit presented by the Miami-Dade Expressway Authority (MDX).
A new step in courts took place last week when Miami-Dade County filed a motion to be recognized as a necessary party to the legal battle between both agencies, saying “Now that GMX has filed its response, it is clear that Miami-Dade County must be joined to this proceeding (…) as a third-party defendant to GMX’s attack on the validity of the ordinance.”
