Miami-Dade envisions ending car fatalities by 2030

Miami-Dade hopes to eliminate car-related fatalities by 2030, according to the “Miami-Dade County Vision Zero Plan,” a report commissioners accepted Tuesday detailing solutions to a problem metropolises have had since the advent of motor vehicles.
The 88-page document, self-described as a “systematic approach to implementing safety countermeasures and policies to reduce and ultimately eliminate fatalities and serious injuries related to mobility,” was prepared by engineering firm The Corradino Group and urban planners Street Plans and funded with local, state and federal dollars…To read the full story click here
