Miami-Dade creates $1,000-a-head new jobs program

Miami-Dade will pay financial incentives to companies expanding or moving into the county and creating at least 50 new jobs in five years. A company would get a $1,000 payment for each new job, an ordinance passed Tuesday says.
The program, to begin in fiscal 2022-23, will have an impact of about $600,000 per year, pending the participation of incentivized companies, a memo from Chief Operations Officer Jimmy Morales says.
