Miami-Dade adds fourth lobbying firm that wasn’t recommended

Miami-Dade commissioners appointed an evaluation committee in July to review requests for government representation and consulting services for the county in Tallahassee. After reviewing the committee’s three recommended firms and debating the need for paid lobbyists, commissioners voted last week to add another firm to the negotiating table, and were open to increasing the amount paid.
“I have spent a lot of time in Tallahassee and have noticed that we benefit greatly from these contract lobbyists,” Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava said. “They are effective and a great asset, and I would add money to the pot and add a fourth firm.” …To read the full story click here
