Miami battles more cut-through traffic

Miami city commissioners continue to wrestle with the danger posed by cut-through traffic avoiding major thoroughfares and using residential streets.
The commission recently approved closing off parts of Southwest 16th Avenue and Southwest 16th Court, but it deferred a planned permanent restriction of vehicular access on Southwest 24th Terrace.
