Massive multi-player downtown Miami development hinges on vote

A vote today (6/3) could determine the future of a massive, multi-party deal to develop two acres of prime real estate along Biscayne Boulevard and unlock the potential to development nine more.
After years of false starts, including a canceled vote last month on the issue, Miami commissioners are again to decide whether to extend to 2047 the lifespan of the Omni Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), a move necessary to allow a complex downtown development pact between the public school district, Arsht Center and developer Crescent Heights to advance.
