Long-sought Hispanic arts center to rise in Tropical Park

Plans more than 15 years in the making for an arts center in Westchester focused on Hispanic heritage are expected to move into construction in April at Tropical Park.
Miami-Dade commissioners last week OK’d a $7.3 million contract with Hialeah-based TGSV Enterprises Inc. to build the 11,876-square-foot Westchester Cultural Arts Center next to the park’s main entrance at 7900 SW 40th St.
