Lennar gets OK for 770-home development in Homestead

Eighty acres of farmland and vacant parcels in Homestead will be transformed into a 770-home development by Lennar, the largest residential construction company in the United States.
Miami-Dade lawmakers Tuesday approved on an ordinance establishing the Kingman Gate Community Development District. Materials with the ordinance show plans for Lennar to build 349 townhomes, 304 villa units and 117 single-family houses in Commissioner Dennis Moss’ district.
