Law may be tweaked to let elderly discounts begin at age 50

Miami-Dade County residents may be seeing a change to anti-discrimination laws, allowing public entities to provide discounts for persons 50 years or older, while also giving the OK to impose minimum age limits for anyone under 25.
“I think this is a great item,” said Commissioner Jose “Pepe” Diaz at the county commission’s Public Safety and Health Committee meeting last week. “Especially for people 50 years or older being able to get discounts. Taking it down to 50 is a great thing.” …To read the full story click here
