Kimley-Horn gets traffic signals funding as Siemens set to take over

Miami-Dade commissioners have just approved a $4.5 million contract with Kimley-Horn and Associates Inc. to keep operating and maintaining county traffic signals while a replacement, a new advanced traffic management system run by Siemens Mobility Inc., is set up countywide to upgrade traffic signals and management strategies.
For the contract, $1.6 million would come from the People’s Transportation Plan (PTP), funded by a half percent sales tax for transportation.
