Kendall Corridor rapid transit decision delayed to December

The Florida Department of Transportation is taking a step back in its recommendation of preferred rapid transit for the Kendall Corridor as staff briefs elected officials and responds to information requests over the Corridor Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) alternative with non-exclusive lanes for buses that the department is proposing there.
The corridor is part of a county 2016 Smart Plan that is geared to bring six new rapid transit corridors to Miami-Dade, broadening the rapid transit web to add six underserved sectors of the county.
