JPMorgan Chase to lend $150 million for new bus fleets

With delivery of the first of up to 75 electric Metrobuses expected this year and many more compressed natural gas (CNG) buses on the way, Miami-Dade is nearing a deal to pay for the vehicles’ up-front costs.
Commissioners June 2 are to decide whether to approve an agreement with JPMorgan Chase Bank, which would provide up to $150 million in draw-down funds over two years to buy the buses and pay related costs.
