Jowharah Sanders cited for paving the road to equality

Jowharah Sanders, founder and executive director of National Voices for Equality, Education and Enlightenment – better known as NVEEE – was the recipient of the 2019 People’s Luminary Award from SAVE, a prominent advocate for South Florida’s LGBTQ community. The award honors young professionals who are paving the road toward equality.
The Miami-Dade County Board of Commissioners also proclaimed November 16, 2019, NVEEE Day in recognition of the nonprofit’s work addressing peer-pressure bullying and suicide prevention education throughout the county and beyond.
