Jackson Health System’s bid for 100 beds in Doral heads to judge’s ruling

The Public Health Trust of Miami-Dade County is to present its application for a new 100-bed Jackson Health System acute care hospital in Doral before Florida Administrative Law Judge William David Watkins in September.
The trust is requesting approval of a certificate of need for the acute care José Milton Memorial Hospital where patients can stay overnight. Plans include utilizing the 7800 NW 29th site to offer 100 beds transferred from the 1,498 beds at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
