Interest wanes in developing Palmetto Bay’s core

Palmetto Bay has seen little to no additional interest from private builders seeking to redevelop its downtown area, the subject of contention among residents and current and former village officials before the pandemic.
Mayor Karyn Cunningham and Village Manager Nick Marano told Miami Today last week that neither has heard more from NAI Miami, the real estate firm with which Palmetto Bay had resumed talks in late 2019 after negotiations with another company fell through.
