Huge influx into Miami-Dade workforce spikes unemployment

A 60,400 available worker spike last month fueled Miami-Dade’s leap in unemployment to 13% from 8% in August, US Bureau of Labor Statistics figures show.
That rapid worker increase meant that while total persons at work in September fell 15,500 from August, jobless persons soared 76,400 that month, the federal figures show.
