Over $300,000 in grant money set aside for small businesses in Miami Beach is still unclaimed, and applications for qualifying companies are still open.
In October city officials earmarked $600,000 to grant at least 30 small businesses up to $20,000 each, with applications for the program opening in January. Funds are given out on a first-come, first-qualified basis and are intended to “provide relief for economic distress caused by Covid-19,” according to the application.
