Future of scooters in Miami on very short leash

After the second iteration of Miami’s scooter pilot extension was cut short in September, from six months to two, legislation by Ken Russell that would have added four months failed to get sufficient support to pass last week.
City commissioners said they want to see the two months play out. But various commissioners showed support for requesting the administration to draft a request for proposals by the end of the two months.
