Funding to brand South Dade awaits legislative move

State legislation to fund a marketing campaign to brand the southern part of Miami-Dade County as a dynamic, diverse and attractive place to live, work, play and visit is sitting unheard in a House subcommittee in Tallahassee as the next Florida budget comes together.
Last November, county Commissioners Daniella Levine Cava and Dennis Moss sponsored a measure urging the Legislature to allocate funds for the South Dade marketing endeavor.
