Florida commercial fishing industry nets $23.6 million in aid

Florida’s commercial fishing industry will get $23,636,600 in assistance funding through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act, popularly known as the CARES Act, said John Ewald, a spokesperson for the NationalOceanic and Atmospheric Administration, or NOAA.
The allocation is the fourth largest in the nation, after Alaska, Washington and Massachusetts.
