Erratic Metromover calls out the wrong stops

One would think that a transit service on a guideway would be both predictable and reliable, but that’s hardly the case with Metromover, according to Miami-Dade Commissioner Eileen Higgins, who last week called for county staff to study why the circulator has become so erratic.

“I’ve experienced shutdowns, unannounced route changes [and] long wait times,” Ms. Higgins wrote on Twitter after she and others in the Transportation and Finance Committee forwarded an item to a full vote that, if approved Oct. 3, would direct Mayor Carlos Giménez’s office to report in 90 days on the overall performance of the Metromover in the past two years.
