Downtown Development Authority looks to its role in next hurricane

Downtown fared well during Hurricane Irma – some of the newer buildings never even lost power – but there’s room for improvement, directors of Miami’s Downtown Development Authority said last week.
“We were urging people to evacuate if they were next to cranes,” said Alyce Robertson, authority executive director. “Two cranes were impacted; if it had been a stronger storm, it would have been more.”…To read the full story click here
