Doral eyes ’22 legislature and votes on gambling

The City of Doral has approved an emergency ordinance authorizing the prohibition of gambling, simulated gambling devices and casinos.
During its May 12 meeting, the city council was in favor of the prohibition of gambling in the emergency ordinance. Mayor Juan Carlos Bermudez said the main reason Doral needs this ordinance is to give the city the ability to determine whether or not gambling should be permitted through the vote of the residents.
