Deal inked for bridge to link Aventura Mall, Brightline

Aventura and Miami-Dade County have arranged to build a pedestrian bridge from Brightline’s planned passenger rail station platform across Biscayne Boulevard near 197th Street to an outparcel of Aventura Mall, as part of the agreement between the county and the company in the Northeast Corridor rapid transit project.
Under the agreement, the county will get $4 million from the City of Aventura to develop the east side pedestrian bridge. A resolution by Commissioner Sally Heyman of District 4, where the bridge is located, made the deal official.
