CrossBay double-decker express does quick, permanent exit OKs

The City of Miami’s CrossBay Express trolley service, added to provide service between Miami and Miami Beach, is no more. The fleet of three double-decker trolleys, wrapped in full-body blue and white coverings depicting the city’s skyline and official seal, bit the dust after less than three months in service.
“The Miami CrossBay Express trolley was a pilot project that started in October of 2018,” said Stephanie Severino, the city’s director of communications. “It was a pilot program partnering with a private service provider. The pilot program concluded in January 2019 as ridership did not meet expectations.”
