County moving to further reduce purchases of single-use plastics

An update to a decade-old buying guide that would significantly reduce Miami-Dade’s purchases of single-use plastics may finally move forward after months of delays.
Earlier this month, the Health Care and County Operations Committee again deferred a resolution by Commissioner Daniella Levine Cava that, if approved, would create stricter standards for the county’s Green Purchasing Guide.
