Miami-Dade will follow the leads of Orlando, California’s Sonoma and Napa valleys, and countries like Spain, Japan, China, Singapore and Taiwan by installing floating solar – or “floatovoltaic”– panels on Glide Angle Lake at Miami International Airport.
County commissioners on March 5 unanimously OK’d a nonexclusive agreement with Florida Power & Light (FPL) to build, operate and maintain the floating solar farm on the lake for 15 years plus one five-year renewal – the first installation of its kind in the county…To read the full story click here
