County aims to add go-anywhere transit pass by Super Bowl game

Miami-Dade commissioners may soon tell Mayor Carlos Giménez’s office to step on the proverbial gas pedal in establishing a tri-county transit pass program so that it’s available by Super Bowl 2020.
Members of the county’s lawmaking body voted 5-0 in committee last week to favorably forward an item, sponsored by Esteban Bovo Jr., that if approved would direct the mayor or a designee to work with the transit agencies of Broward and Palm Beach counties to create the program in time for the Feb. 2, 2020, event.
