Coral Gables looks toward building long-lasting mobility hub

After 20 years of controversy over the future of two dilapidated city-owned parking garages, Coral Gables is moving forward with a new plan to turn Parking Garage 1, at 245 Andalusia Ave., into a “state of the art” mobility hub. The second structure, Parking Garage 4, is “currently not slated for renovation,” said Solanch Lopez, assistant to the city manager, via email.
According to Ms. Lopez, Garage 1 will be demolished to make way for the new “hub,” which will be capable of accommodating up to 850 vehicles.
