Commission may order Jackson to set up roving mental health clinics

With stress levels unusually high among Miami-Dade residents due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Jackson Health System should launch a program to send “roving mental health clinics” out into the community, Commissioner Javier Souto said.
“We’re living in really difficult times,” he said. “In many ways, these problems won’t disappear overnight. It’s going to take some time and, of course, there’s a lot of mental anguish of all the things that impact in a negative way our communities everywhere.”
