Cali Garcia-Velez to take helm at Banesco as it moves HQ to Doral

Miami native Calixto Garcia-Velez is taking over as president and CEO of Banesco USA on Nov. 1. The former president and CEO, Mario Oliva, is stepping down to pursue other opportunities.
The independent, Florida-chartered bank was founded Jan. 10, 2006, in Coral Gables. It has four branches in South Florida and one in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
