Barry University expedites graduations for front-line Covid-19 troops

With healthcare workers overworked and spread too thin in many hospitals nationwide as they battle Covid-19, Barry University is expediting graduation for 59 students in the Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiology Program and allowing them to join the healthcare workforce immediately.
Instead of initial graduation slated for May 9, certified anesthesiology nurses will celebrate with an early virtual degree conferral graduation April 25 before joining other medical workers who are battling at the frontlines against the coronavirus pandemic. These critically needed healthcare professionals will head out to work in hospital operating rooms and intensive care units throughout South Florida and the US, with skills to handle emergency intubations, manage ventilators and stabilize Covid-19 patients in respiratory distress.
