As Chinese enrollment tumbles, University of Miami recruits nearby

Miami is known as a diverse city and international hub, and its large universities are no exception to this image.
According to the University of Miami’s website, 10% of freshmen and 19% of transfers hail from outside of the US. Last year, Miami Today reported that roughly one third of UM’s entering business school students were from China, despite citing a national trend of Chinese students increasingly turning toward other countries for education as a result of the increasingly poor relationship between China and the US.
