After seven months, TPO can’t find a new home

More than seven months have passed with little progress in finding the county’s Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) a new home at the Stephen P. Clark Center. The TPO passed a resolution last October urging Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Giménez to find suitable office space and a meeting chamber at the building commonly called Government Center, stating the TPO Governing Board and its staff had “outgrown the current allocated space and meeting chamber capacity needed to conduct its official business.” The matter was later raised during a March TPO Executive Policy Committee meeting, where Executive Director Aileen Bouclé said she’d been unable to grow the organization and hire staff because of lack of space.
