Adaptive signal system cutting mobility times in county

More Metrobuses and drivers are zipping past green lights as the Department of Transportation and Public Works meets its goal of launching 300 adaptive signals in Miami-Dade’s 10 busiest corridors. The department plans to expand the system next year as time-saving results trickle in, proving the $11.1 million project to be successful.
The adaptive signal technology helps commuters get to their destination faster. Three corridors are in the adaptive phase while six are in learning mode. Kendall Drive also has signal priority. The county expects to include the southern part of US 1 soon…To read the full story click here
