4 firms compete for Miami to Miami Gardens elevated rail

The nearly 10-mile North Corridor commuting route connecting Northwest 215th Street to either the Northside Metrorail Station or Martin Luther King Jr. Metrorail Station is under a request for proposals process with four companies short-listed to develop the project. A specific end date is to be set and the county ultimately is to award the procurement to one firm. 

“We are currently in the Alternative Technical Concepts phase which will be followed by Phase 2 of the RFP [request for proposals],”’ said Rita A. Silva from the county’s Internal Services Department and the county’s procurement contact person for this solicitation.
