300 CNG buses, two-thirds of Metrorail cars in use

Miami-Dade’s first round of compressed natural gas (CNG) buses has been delivered, and less than a third of the new Metrorail cars the county has on order are still due, according to figures provided by the county transportation department this week.
All 300 CNG buses Miami-Dade bought for $174.87 million from manufacturer New Flyer of America have arrived, transportation spokesperson Karla Damian told Miami Today.
