$24 million in stormwater, resiliency project change orders

Stormwater management and resiliency projects in the West Avenue neighborhood north and south of 14th Street in Miami Beach have racked up change orders totaling $24,330,900.
For the project north of 14th Street, the contract jumped from the existing $32,940,276 to $50,704,176. A year-long delay in construction and design alone cost the city $12,800,000. For the project south of 14th Street, the contract jumped from $14,278,113 to $20,845,113, with $5,950,000 of that because of the delay.
