Two missions to Dubai on Enterprise Florida schedule

Enterprise Florida Inc. (EFI), a state-directed group of business and government leaders charged with private sector job creation, has a 2023 travel itinerary that would exhaust even the indefatigable Phileas Fogg.

From sea to sky, its journeys begin this month in Germany at Düsseldorf boot, one of the world’s leading boat shows, drawing as many as 2,000 exhibitors from 70 nations and expecting 250,000 visitors. Running Jan. 21-29, it will be Enterprise Florida’s first visit to Düsseldorf boot.

Hopscotching across some two dozen cities and countries, the organization’s 2023 global excursions conclude in the skies over the United Arab Emirates Nov. 13-17 at the Dubai Air Show, the leading event in the Middle East for the aerospace and defense industries.

“Enterprise Florida organizes and hosts dozens of events every year,” its website explains, “including virtual and in-person tradeshows, webinars and board meetings. The events are aimed at “helping Florida small and medium-sized businesses grow and keeping our state leaders and stakeholders apprised of current economic development efforts across the state, the site concludes.

EFI is headquartered in Orlando, with auxiliary offices in Coral Gables and Tallahassee. The Miami-Dade office, 201 Alhambra Circle, concentrates on international trade and development. Enterprise Florida offers trade show grants that will pay for 75% of the cost of a booth, up to a maximum of $7,500. For grant information, contact Joseph Bell at the Coral Gables office, (305) 240-9717, jbell@enterpriseflorida.com.
