CANES FESTIVAL

   The Cosford Cinema presents the 2013 "Canes Film Festival, showcasing films created by undergraduate and graduate motion picture students at UM. TO THE WONDER

   The Miami premiere of "To the Wonder" by Terrence Malick stars Ben Affleck, Javier Bardem, Olga Kurylenko and Rachel McAdams. The film tells of Neil’s entanglements with the two women in his life, and Father Quintana’s struggle with his faith—forcing them both to consider different kinds of love. 6:30 p.m. Additional screenings through May 9. PARIS—MANHATTAN

   Woody Allen’s "Paris—Manhattan" tells of Alice, who is obsessed with Woody Allen and his movies. In her thirties, she’s still single. Alice’s Jewish parents hope to cure her fixation by setting her up with a more tangible man, an alarm technician who hasn’t seen a Woody Allen film ever. 4:25 and 9:10 p.m. Additional screenings through May 9. EL SUPER

   In 1979 film "El Super" Roberto, a New York building superintendent, dreams of his home in Cuba. The expatriate has lived in the US for 10 years, but he still feels like a fish out of water, dreading the cold and trying to find a way to move to Miami. The seminal film is shown in a fully re-mastered print struck from the original negatives. 4:30 and 9:05 p.m. In Spanish with English subtitles. Additional screenings through May 9. SNOW WHITE

   Spanish drama "Blancanieves" is a black and white, surreal version of the Grimm fairy tale "Snow White." The film tells of a little girl who has never known her mother. She learned the art of her father, a famous bullfighter, but was hated by her evil stepmother. One day she ran away with a troupe of dwarves, and became a legend. 6:40 p.m. Additional screenings through May 9. In Spanish with English subtitles.
