Fernando Casamayor Awaits New Tax Processing System Plans Change In Tax Bills Tries To Catch Up On Late Refunds
Miami-Dade County Tax Collector Fernando Casamayor is poised and ready for the launch of a new tax collecting system to come online in June. Mr. Casamayor, who was appointed to the role permanently in October 2007, said he and his staff have been readying for the transition.
When he is not hard at work, the friendly tax collector enjoys spending time with his 6-year-old son Daniel, his wife and their family dog.
Reporter Laura Stace interviewed Mr. Casamayor in his office in downtown Miami.
