BROOKLYN PIAZZOLLA

   MDC Live Arts series closes its 2012-13 season with Argentina native, Brooklyn-based bassist, bandleader and producer Pablo Aslan and his quintet performing "Piazzolla in Brooklyn." This performance pays homage to Argentinean composer Astor Piazzolla.

GOSPEL SUNDAYS

   The Adrienne Arsht Center presents Donald Lawrence and the Miami Mass Choir as part of the 2012-2013 Free Gospel Sundays concert series. VOICES FOR VETERANS

   MDC’s The Civic Chorale of Greater Miami presents "Voices for Veterans," a concert featuring the Civic Chorale, under the artistic direction of Kenneth Boos, and the MDC Wind Symphony directed by Brian Neal. The tribute to the men and women in uniform includes musical selections like "Angels in Architecture" by Ticheli; "Testament of Freedom" by Randall Thompson; Z. Randall "Stroope’s Homeland," and EE Bagley’s "National Emblem," among others. 4 p.m. South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center, 10950 SW 211th St., Cutler Bay.
