OUTDOORS Thursday 3/7 BISCAYNE NATUREThe Crandon Park Visitors and Nature Center offers the Bear Cut Preserve, a 264-acre natural barrier island habitat on the northern tip of Key Biscayne. Guided tours and educational programs are offered year round for all ages — from low tide marine beach and wading tours to bird watching, canoeing, kayaking, snorkeling and bicycling. Friday 3/8 ORCHID FESTIVALFairchild Tropical Botanic Garden hosts the 11th annual International Orchid Festival, a three-day event showcasing more than 10,000 orchid plants on sale from international vendors, and gardening workshops and lectures. 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Through March 10.
