16 hotels set to open in Miami-Dade

    Amid measureable improvements in business, Greater Miami's hotel industry is continuing to grow, with a new group of properties set to open this year.
   Revenue per available room — the industry's key performance measure — soared to $174.26 a night last month, by far the highest figure for January in at least seven years, according to data released this week by STR, formerly Smith Travel Research.
